MARCH Community Baby Shower

In recognition of Mother’s Day, the MARCH team recently collaborated with Detroit’s Community Health and Social Services (CHASS) Center to host a “Community Baby Shower.” This special event offered an occasion to celebrate recent and expectant mothers, caregivers, and families in the local community. The event was hosted in a comfortable, family-friendly space on a sunny spring morning. Attendees were welcomed with food, kid-friendly activities, a photo booth, educational information, and a series of prize raffles. Take-away items were also to hand for all, including diapers and a ‘new baby’ gift bag with some early essentials (e.g., wipes, onesies, a swaddle blanket, and more). We were thrilled to be joined by more than 60 families at this event, made possible through outstanding partnership and team effort.
